Dale Bozzio and The Missing Persons are one of my favorite new wave bands from the 80s and still get heavy rotation in my music playlists. The band’s first two albums were simply stunning and this newly released live performance contains many of those songs in a high-energy set.
These songs are electrifying in the live setting presented here. This live album is essentially A Greatest Hits live package. The songs have an extra fire and pop to them delivered in this live format. Of course, the band does their hits Destination Unknown, Walking in L.A., and Words, but the great thing about this is there are many tracks from the albums that were not released as singles that absolutely have to be heard.
If you were a fan of the band or from the MTV generation you will feel like you just stepped into a time machine listening to this album. I for one, am excited to see this album finally get released because the Missing Persons were one of the bands who were really underrated and didn’t get enough exposure during the ’80s in my opinion.
A Night in San Francisco is a fantastic album that shows what a great band Missing Persons was at their peak. Take a trip back in time and enjoy this blast from the past with the Missing Persons.
