“Shown With A Fist” is a recipe of all the ingredients for a hard rock lovers buffet. Sounding somewhere between the classic hard rock sound of the 80s and a more modern metal sound of today, Them Damn Kings pumps up the adrenaline with this energetic song. Lyrically the song delves into the subject matter of self-reliance and standing your ground. With great lyrics like “Take what you want, but you better not take it from me” this song sounds like it’s aimed at all of the people out there who seem to want to push everyone around and say “Enough is enough”. The guitar solo is simply blazing and should make any metal-shredding guitar solo lovers both envious and in awe at the same time.
After hearing this track I took a listen to more of their songs and Damn, if they don’t all rock hard! It’s always fun to find a band like this and discover some great talent that I just somehow had missed hearing thus far.
