Longtime Hurricane guitarist Robert Sarzo has announced that he is no longer with the band in a statement on social media:
It was a pleasure to work on the last HURRICANE album titled “Reconnected” as a co-producer, a composer, a performer, and an arranger on all the songs.
I have parted ways with Tony Cavazo and Mike Hansen.
I am looking forward to collaborating with like-minded creative writers and artists on future projects.
No reason has been given for the split and there is has been no statement from Tony Cavazo and the rest of Hurricane.
Robert Sarzo was a member of Hurricane and guitarist for the albums Take What You Want (1985) and Over the Edge (1988), as well as the 2023 release of Reconnected. Robert Sarzo is the brother of Rudy Sarzo, known for Quiet Riot, Whitesnake, Ozzy Osbourne, and more.
