Red Dragon Cartel Singer Diagnosed With Dementia…Darren James Smith, who sang on the first two albums of Jake E. Lee’s Red Dragon Cartel, is currently dealing with some serious health issues. His daughter reported the following on his Facebook page:
Hello everyone, this is Keely, Darren’s daughter. I want to make everyone aware that my father has been diagnosed with early onset dementia/ Alzheimer’s. It’s coming on fast and I am aware of his strange behavior. I would like to apologize for any pictures/ videos that may have been sent from my father. He is not in his right mind. With that being said I am shutting down his social media. If anyone would like to reach out to me with concerns feel free! This is being handled and not ignored- Keely
Smith handled the vocals on the only albums released thus far from Red Dragon Cartel, Red Dragon Cartel (2014) and Patina (2018).
