James Hetfield Proposes Marriage During Shark Dive…Metallica frontman James Hetfield just proposed to his girlfriend, Adrianna Gillett, in one of the more unusual scenarios. Hetfield and Gillett were scuba diving with whale sharks when James popped the question with a sign he held underwater, and Gillett gave the thumbs-up for her answer of “Yes”. All of this took place during a break from Metallica’s touring. Metallica will soon start a residency at the Las Vegas Sphere.
