The song Shake Me was written about not being scared for the first time to swim in the ocean, the Gulf of Florida. It’s about changing the plan, moving in a different direction. I was trying to imitate what I was hearing on the TJ Max radio while working there. Trying to write what, at the time, I thought was an indie anthem.
