Tigertailz were originally formed in 1984 and just 6 years later demoed and recorded Bezerk, an album that many glam rock fans consider a masterpiece and an album that had no filler material. As one of the most prominent and accessible bands around, one can hear their Influences by bands like Status Quo and Ratt, and who doesn’t have a touch of Zeppelin on their hard rock album. Bezerk (the released album) reached the Top 40 on the charts containing the hits “Love Bomb Baby” and “Heaven”. Now its time for the rockers the world over to check out how the album all began.
Bezerk: The Demos is now available from FnA Records. An 18 track opus that features tracks (on Bezerk) with different titles, different intros, different lyrics and most unlikely, a Rap song Demo version of Noize Level Critical. This is a great peek into how demos evolve and eventually become the tracks that we all hear. There are even some tracks that never left the Tigertailz camp…until now!!! Additionally included are songs written for the Bezerk album (SIX SHOOT SHUFFLE, TOO COOL FOR SCHOOL, EASTERN PROMISE, and RAMBO), but for one reason or another, never made the album. As if that weren’t enough, four bonus tracks (Demos) for the Wazbones album are included; Over an hour of blistering hard rock for your ears.
Tigertailz also has a nice contingency of rockers on both sides of the pond. Those truly into Glam Rock/Metal are well versed in all things Tigertailz. But, on Bezerk: The Demos, fans will be delighted to hear some never before heard music.
The booklet is a very fun read with introductions from Jay Pepper and Kim Hooker. There is a beautiful centerfold of the band from the Bezerk time period, and then there is a 2 page short description of each and every track courtesy of Jay Pepper. Jay gives you the lowdown on each and every song sharing inside knowledge as to what the bands feelings/beliefs were.
