Christian Death

Christian Death were a pioneering American deathrock/goth band formed in Los Angeles in 1979, best known for blending punk aggression with dark, occult, and anti-religious themes. Fronted originally by Rozz Williams, the band became one of the most influential acts in early gothic rock, pairing morbid lyrics with theatrical, haunting atmospheres.

Their 1982 debut album, Only Theatre of Pain, is considered a cornerstone of the goth movement—raw, disturbing, and poetic, it helped define the deathrock sound.
