Review:

The Scorpions have returned to deliver a classic sounding, a great new album with “Rock Believer”.  No attempts at creating a modern sound or anything outside of what they do best.  This album rocks from beginning to end and it’s refreshing to get an album that sounds like the bands’ classic albums of yesteryear.  Like the old saying, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it…The Scorpions know what the fans want to hear and man, did they ever deliver. One listen to this album makes you want to jump in a muscle car and hit the gas.  Klaus Meine sounds great throughout and the guitars are mixed to make this album feel like it’s in your face. Filled with blazing guitar solos, bombastic drum beats, and that familiar croon of Klaus Meine on vocals, I can honestly say that I find the entire album enjoyable. That’s a true rarity these days, for sure. Songs like Knock ‘Em Dead, Rock Believer, Peacemaker, and Call Of The Wild are just begging to be added to the Scorpions live set along with their many classic hits from over the years. Nobody does arena rock like the Scorpions, and they’ve managed to release one of the best and most solid albums of their career 50 years after the release of their first album. This is an incredible album that you have to get if you’re a fan or call yourself a metalhead. This is the first album that I’ve heard this year that could easily hit #1 on the heavy metal / hard rock album charts for 2022.
