Classless Act’s Debut Album “Welcome to the Show” Is a Class Act
Contrary to their name, Classless Act is a classy purveyor of hard rock with hooks and energy galore. Their sterling debut album “Welcome to the Show” scores on so many levels, complete with sharp rhythm changes, a manic lead singer, dizzying solos, and much more. The album leaves no doubt why the band is generating such a great buzz, as it excels at expanding the hard rock idiom, and displays traces of an intriguing array of bands, including Aerosmith, Motley Crue, Guns N’ Roses, AC/DC, and Poison. It’s fitting that the tune “Classless Act” is one of the standouts on the album. The stampeding anthem includes vocals from Vince Neil, and has a strong Motley Crue vibe. “Give It To Me” works off a hard-edged guitar attack and wicked groove. Classless Act team up with Justin Hawkins of The Darkness to write and create some manic mayhem on “This Is For You.” The band demonstrate their ability to shift gear on such songs as the reflective “On My Phone.”
There’s no question Classless Act has injected new energy into the hard rock scene and is destined for greater heights.
