Q & A With Tim Swisher From Eyes Of The Living

Q & A With Tim Swisher From Eyes Of The Living

XS ROCK: Tell me about the latest band news? Any new projects coming out, live shows or announcements?

Tim Swisher: We’re excited that our album “War on Dead – More Dead” will be Released worldwide through Pavement Entertainment on March 15, 2019. We have a bunch of dates line-up through March, April and May across a few states. Our show schedule can be seen here: https://www.eyesoftheliving.com/shows

XS ROCK: What was your main motivation for originally starting or being in a band?

Tim Swisher: Eyes of the Living originally started as a past-time studio project between myself and the Bass player Chris Moore back in 2012. We invited Mike Straiton to come in a lay down guitar solos not too long after that, it was intended to be just for fun and lacked focus and was often shelved for months on end. In 2016 as some songs were becoming more complete, we realized we had something people might want to hear so we pushed to complete a full album. Clifff Fritts our drummer came into the picture in February 2017 and the full line-up was complete, we started full band rehearsals in February 2017.

XS ROCK: What is your music background?

Tim Swisher: I originally started on drums, switched over to guitar not by desire but because I had too, the noise was driving my step mother mad! hahaa good thing though, because guitar introduced me the path of writing songs.

XS ROCK: What image do you think your music conveys?

Tim Swisher: our music is modern with traditional thrash elements. Driven to create energy and movement.

XS ROCK: What are your current music career goals?

Tim Swisher: getting back into the music scene after a long time away. Things and ambition have changed a lot. My goal is to just have a good time playing the music I love to create to people who might want to hear it!

XS ROCK: Which do you prefer? Writing new songs and recording or playing for a live audience?

Tim Swisher: tough one… I really enjoy writing, I seriously love it. The creation process is important to me, writing and recording is a must have for me…Playing live is a whole other high, seeing people react to what you created is just amazing.

XS ROCK: What are your songs’ lyrics about? (What specific themes do they cover?)

Tim Swisher: “War on Dead – More Dead” is a concept album about a Zombie Apocalypse. Although the lyrics were created around a concept, many of the songs can have a universal meaning… I know they do for me.

Q & A With Tim Swisher From Eyes Of The LivingXS ROCK: What is the single most important thing to you as a musician?

Tim Swisher: yes very supportive, it’s a special thing to have!

Tim Swisher: Chemical Bath, Stench of Death, Run for your Life, Infected and Pull the Trigger.

XS ROCK: Which band or artist inspired you to perform? Why?
