Hailing from the colorful and music inspired streets of Minneapolis, Minnesota comes the unique blend of Metal/Rock/Industrial that is GABRIEL AND THE APOCALYPSE. The band delivers a fierce yet beautiful array of female fronted aggression that will give their predecessors a run for their money. The brainchild of vocalist Lindy Gabriel, GABRIEL AND THE APOCALYPSE independently put out 2 releases which were backed by numerous national support tours around the United States. Their intense and professional style videos also paved the way for the group to become an underground sensation.
The bands upcoming creation “Alpha Bionic” sets a new standard for Gabriel and the Apocalypse. Set to be released in early 2019 this full length album features a new look and sound for the band. To kick off the promotion of “Alpha Bionic” the band will be hitting the road for a full scale U.S. tour.

We just finished a full U.S. tour with Lords of Acid and Orgy, we will be doing some festivals this summer and have plans in the works for a fall tour.
XS ROCK: So how long has the band been together?
Lindy – the band has been around since 2002 but came into what it is today with the release of New World Disaster in 2011.
XS ROCK: What was your main motivation for originally starting or being in a band?
Lindy – Just having a passion for music and being creative
XS ROCK: What is your music background?
Jake – We all come from a little bit of a different area of influences
XS ROCK: What image do you think your music conveys?
Lindy – I think that we are a thought provoking band. We are edgy and rock and roll but we have something to say. I like to write about my views in society and put a spot light on issues I think people should care about.
XS ROCK: What are your current music career goals?
Jake – Promoting the new album and getting the music out to as many people as possible
XS ROCK: Which do you prefer? Writing new songs and recording or playing for a live audience?
Jake – I prefer the writing and recording process. Although it is exciting to see the response you get when you are directly in front of a crowd.
Lindy – Both for me because I value both the same. They serve as being therapeutic for me live shows I get to get my energy and aggression out. With writing I get the creative side.
XS ROCK: What are your songs’ lyrics about?
Lindy – A L P H A B I O N I C is my view into the future of humanity. The lyrics are about humans evolving into machines due to our overuse of technology.
XS ROCK: What is the single most important thing to you as a musician?
Jake – Having a creative outlet
XS ROCK: Do you have any outrageous tour stories from the road? I
Lindy – One of our highlights of the latest tour with Lords of Acid, and Orgy was when GATA was having our usual dance party on our bus when we blast music really loud and have some drinks. Before we knew it almost everyone from the tour package was on our bus hanging out dancing and having a good time. That might have been a few nights though lol.
XS ROCK: What’s the strangest request that you’ve ever received from one of your fans?
Lindy – Probably being proposed to by a total stranger who had a ring and knelt down and all.
XS ROCK: Are your friends and family supportive of your choice to play in a rock band?
Lindy – Yes, we are really fortunate to having a solid core of friends and family who support us doing what we do. I don’t think it would be possible without them.
XS ROCK: What advice do you have for new bands trying to get started?
Lindy – Look at it as a business, if you are going to put your music out there make sure it’s ready.
Jake – Every band is different and may have different ideas of what success means but always focusing on those goals and breaking things down into steps.

Jake – Systematic Chaos, Sonic Bionic, Until We Dream
XS ROCK: Which band or artist inspired you to perform? Why?
Lindy – Kurt Cobain, Marilyn Manson their passion, aggression, theatrics and imagery inspired me.
Jake – As a guitarist starting out Metallica, Alice In Chains, Tool were big influences in the beginning for me.
XS ROCK: If you could design a dream tour for your band, who would be on the bill?
Lindy – Marilyn Manson, Motionless In White, Rob Zombie, Nine Inch Nails
XS ROCK: What do you consider your greatest accomplishment so far?
Jake – Our music being completed and released. A L P H A B I O N I C will be our third full length record. Also signing with Pavement, and getting to go on national tours.
XS ROCK: If you weren’t performing in a band what kind of career do you think you would have?
Lindy – I would be working at an animal sanctuary or doing conservation work for animals, or environmental work.
XS ROCK: What type of equipment do you use for live shows?
Jake – We are using Jericho Guitars, Fractal Audio Systems for guitar Amp, CAD Audio wireless systems, ESP/ltd guitars, Ampeg bass amps, Mapex drumkit, Sabian cymbals, Ableton Live Software, and Jagermeister for inspiration
XS ROCK: What do you think of the current music scene?
Jake – It’s always changing, it’s hard to find some of the up and coming bands
XS ROCK: For anyone that doesn’t know you, what would they be surprised to know about you?
Lindy – When fans become my friends they are surprised by how I like to be a home body and hang out with my dogs and be in the garden. It’s a massive contrast to tour life.
XS ROCK: Is there anything that you’d like to promote or say to your fans out there?
