Originally released on March 3rd, 1986, Master of Puppets was the album that launched Metallica into the spotlight and made them a household name. The album and tour also came with intense sadness, as bassist Cliff Burton was killed on the band’s European tour after a bus accident. Master of Puppets is an 8-times Platinum-selling album.
