Today, in rock music news, rock duo Girl Tones release their guitar-driven, combustible new single “Burnout” via Parallel Vision x Big Loud Rock. Starting the song asking “Can you hear me now,” the band already knows everyone is hanging onto their every word. On October 7th, “Burnout” will be featured in a new episode of ABC’s High Potential starring Kaitlin Olson.
Setting out on an anxious bank robbing heist in the “Burnout” official video, directed by Casey Pierce in Nashville, Girl Tones are taking what they want and lighting all the evidence ablaze with their final match
The band’s vocalist Kenzie shared, “‘Burnout’ is about our attention spans shrinking and the need for instant gratification. The pressure of constantly producing and consuming. How do we keep up without burning out? This song inspires me to slow down and enjoy the smaller things in life and preserve the creative spark at all costs.”
Girl Tones have had a nonstop year of undeniable momentum. Over the summer, they made their festival debut at Lollapalooza and Shaky Knees, with Austin City Limits up next. They also toured alongside The Velveteers, hey, nothing, Silversun Pickups and Cage The Elephant, with more shows with Cage The Elephant coming up this week.
