That’s right, Rock And Roll Hall Of Famer Cyndi Lauper, famous for “Girls Just Want To Have Fun,” recorded the theme song to Pee Wee’s Playhouse under the name Ellen Shaw. Lauper was working on recording the “True Colors” album at the time, and rumors suggest she used the Ellen Shaw alias to avoid any confusion with her solo career.
Other 80s music notables that contributed songs to the show include Mark Mothersbaugh (Devo), Danny Elfman (Oingo Boingo), The Residents, and Dweezil Zappa.
