Crystal Viper - The Cult (Review)

Crystal Viper returns with another great classic-sounding heavy metal album. Singer Marta Gabriel rips through some awesome metal tracks on this brand new album called “The Cult”. The title track is a full-on metal assault that’s worthy of praise. Crystal Viper comes in somewhere along the lines of Warlock, Judas Priest, and Iron Maiden as far as their roots are concerned.  Standout tracks include “Whispers From Beyond”, “Down In The Crypt”, Forgotten Land, Lost In The Dark, and the two bonus tracks are great covers of King Diamond and Satan songs.  The King Diamond cover of “Welcome Home” gives Gabriel a chance to show off her shrieking vocal range and it’s pretty amazing. Crystal Viper’s “The Cult” is a solid metal album that should make even the discerning metal fan happy.
