Review:
If melodic metal / hard rock is your thing, you absolutely have to check out Ammunition. What an incredible album this is! Exploding out of your speakers with the opening track “Time”, you can tell this going to be an awesome and special album. This is some really great rock n’ roll. “Freedom Finder” has an incredibly infectious beat. It’s also my favorite track on this album, but you won’t find a song here that’s not simply incredible. The chemistry between the band members is outstanding. The production is superb throughout. I haven’t heard a new band that I’ve been this excited about in a long time. Erik Martensson has been making his mark on the rock scene with several bands in the last few years, but I’m super impressed with this album. Vocalist Age Sten Nilsen has an incredible voice. You may have heard him previously fronting the band Wig Wam. It’s really like the band had all of this contained energy and someone lit the fuse. I realize it’s just the first month of 2018, but I’m already willing to say that this will be a solid contender for hard rock album of the year. It’s really that good. Fans of the 80’s hard rock sound will be absolutely astounded with the debut release of Ammunition. This is rock music with the power, melody and intensity that will make you take notice.
