Trial - Sisters Of The Moon (Review)
Review:
This Swedish band looks and sounds like the real deal with their latest release. While it’s only a single and “B” side, the songs and sounds are big enough to make this feel like an album release. Sisters Of The Moon is a great hard-rocking version of the Fleetwood Mac song. The “B” side is another great cover of Black Sabbath’s “Die Young”. Cover songs are usually great or terrible. Luckily, in this case, these fall into the great territory. I’ve never liked it when a band does a cover song exactly like the original. Why? Because I’ve heard that before, and frankly, if it’s basically the same thing, I would prefer to listen to the original artists’ version. Trial does it up right, by making these cover songs their very own, while staying close enough to the originals to rock along with them. Trial puts their own spin on these covers and makes me very interested to see what they release in the future. Check these guys out on this maxi-single release. It’ll leave you wanting to hear more by this great band.
