Review:
I’m really impressed with the latest outing from Shadowside. This album sees the band proving once and for all that they are in the same league as bands like Arch Enemy, In This Moment and Battle Beast. Shades Of Humanity starts off strong with the album opener “The Fall”. Dani Nolden has a great voice. She’s able to hit the high smooth notes, but she has enough toughness to her sound to make a nice contrast between the two. The band is now joined by Magnus Rosén on bass, whom you might remember from the great power metal band “Hammerfall”. Musically this album is a powerhouse of earthquake inducing metal. Stand out tracks for me are “Beast Inside” , “Insidious Me”, “Parade The Sacrifice” and “Drifter” which is super catchy and memorable long after listening. Overall, this is a great piece of work. If you like female-fronted metal, you need to pick this album up.  A really solid effort that I highly recommend.
