Wow! This one impressive album by Santa Cruz. This is the best material that the band has presented so far and it has the making of a hit record all over it. Crossing the sounds of the 80’s glam metal movement with a bit of a modern twist, the boys really deliver with Bad Blood Rising.  The opening track is perfect as the band builds the tempo with an all out rocker.  Every song on this album deserves your respect as they have crafted an excellent batch of songs with no filler.  Breathe is an excellent slower track, that I dare to call a ballad. It reminds me of a more modern version of Patience by Guns N’ Roses, complete with whistling. It’s an instantly catchy song that I’ve admittedly found myself whistling after listening to this album. There are plenty of good time rocking numbers like Voice Of The New Generation, Back From The Dead, Bad Habits Die Hard and you know a song titled Pure Fucking Adrenaline isn’t going to be a slow love song. I absolutely love Bad Blood Rising! If you’re a fan of the 80’s metal bands, you owe it to yourself to check out Santa Cruz’s latest album. It’s everything that you hope it will be and more.  Although, we received it just a little too late to be counted in our “Best Hard Rock Albums of 2017”, rest assured that it should be on the list. A solid effort from beginning to end.
