XS ROCK: How long has the band been together?
Peter: Well The SCARS OF GRACE was formed originally in 2000 until i decided to
move in United States and somehow the band members tucked their tails in and
XS ROCK: What was your main motivation for starting or being in a band?
Peter: The Motivation to learn and be part of the heavy metal community therefor when you’re
in love with music and passionate you just want to play you go out there and you do what
you have to do find a band or just do everything your own
XS ROCK: What is your music background?
Peter: Since i was little i always listen to anything that was playing on the radio in the house
car, or malls (lol) although my father used to play the accordion it was more like polka or
anything from sinatra era and so on. And as years followed I was inspired into classical,
and then the British invasion just blew my mind I wanted to learn to play. Got my first
guitar at the age of 15 and as music was growing in me I heard my idol Randy Rhoads,
my biggest influence ever along with drummer Tommy Aldridge, I was in love with the
Hard Rock/ Heavy Metal genre it became part of my blood vessel ..
XS ROCK: What image do you think your music conveys?
Peter: It depends the mood. When i get in the studio a simple riff can change everything from
upbeat and very energetic and groovy,
XS ROCK: What are your immediate music career goals? (Next 1 to 3 years.)
Peter: I have stored over 3000 songs unfinished and working on them which of course
it’s pick and choose and reformat, and record more songs possible for the public to

Peter: Keep on recording new music and hoping by 2018 to have SCARS OF GRACE on the
XS ROCK: Which do you prefer? Writing new songs and recording or playing for a live audience?
Peter: Of course that’s with out saying playing live is the most emotionally rewarding feeling
and to share and jam with your fans it forms a magic and closer connection , I love
writing new music and record as well.
XS ROCK: What are your songs about?
Peter: Depending on my singer he is responsible for the lyrics and tending towards today’s life.
XS ROCK: Do you have any outrageous tour stories from the road?
Peter: In the early days I was playing with this metal band called Metal Gods and we were
asked to open up for Iron Maiden on their 2 first albums. It was the best time ever The
local radio station the band and Maiden and crew we went to the field to play soccer.
XS ROCK: What’s the strangest request that you’ve ever received from one of your fans?
Peter: Well after a show we got approached to play at a private party for 1 hour tops for
two thousand dollars. Well we accepted . We arrived at a Hells Angels private
club. We were supposed to start around 10pm. Two hours later this guy comes up
gives us the envelope and told us . Thank you we can go home now..
XS ROCK: Were your parents supportive of your aspirations to play in a rock band?
Peter: LOL they had hard time accepting and still today especially for my mom the long hair
and music is still beyond her beliefs. Although she has pictures hanging all over the
XS ROCK: What are your favorite tracks to play live?
Peter: I don’t have any particular track, they’re all great and fun to play ..
XS ROCK: Which band or artist inspired you to perform? Why?
Peter: I can’t say i was ever inspired you don’t have that same perception as to becoming a
musician until you get on that stage for the first time and feel the expirience and then
you realize not only becomes addictive but you actually playing live and on that same
stage your favorite band has played as well..
Being on stage and rocking with the crowd is an addiction. Although once in while i
don’t mind being the audience to support a local band. We all start from somewhere.
XS ROCK: If you could design a dream tour for your band, who would be on the bill?
Peter: OMG OMG There is too many i would love. BUT to be honest anyone on the bill would
be a dream tour.
XS ROCK: What do you consider your greatest accomplishment so far?
Peter: Every accomplishment created is a great accomplishment but the best is yet to
come. I have played and recorded and toured with a few bands, and it’s a learning experience
and with 3 albums and more to come as a solo artist and with my band SCARS OF
XS ROCK: If you weren’t performing in a band what kind of career do you think you would have?
Peter: Well since i was little my dad used to take me to his restaurant i kinda always liked to be
with people, I guess anything involving the public.
XS ROCK: What type of equipment do you use for live shows?
Peter: Marshall / Ibanez guitars / For Bass i use GK or Ampeg and Ibanez SR
line 6 pedal board . and boss effects.
XS ROCK: What do you think of the current music scene?
Peter: Just a few days ago i read an article about how we the musicians are responsible
of the music scene. I will just be brief … Lots of musicians depend on social
media, and that is very wrong, I still believe the old fashion way. The rock scene
is great if you do the leg work be creative bring those people to your show. Social
media is just a lazy way to interact and please don’t take it the wrong way the
internet is good and has plenty of potential to bring visibility but as a musician /
band you need to have a good work ethic and creativity.
XS ROCK: For anyone that doesn’t know you, what would they be surprised to know about you?
Peter: Growing up my parents were strict, good behavior and being a gentleman I hardly
hardly swear, down to earth, no tattoos and one little ear ring ..
If someone had never heard you before, how would you describe your sound?
-Its kinda hard to compare it because we all have a unique style regardless of era but i
would say that some have compared me a crisp clean, bold and unique.
