Interview With Frontline's Vocalist Jason Delismon

Today, I had the chance to talk with Jason Delismon from the band Frontline. Frontline is a great new rock band that has a new album dropping soon. Highly recommended if you like bands like Creed, Alice In Chains, Staind, etc.

XS ROCK: Tell me about the latest band news? Any new projects coming out, live shows or announcements?
Jason: We currently signed with Vanity Music Group/Shock Records and have Sony Red Distribution. Our album hits stores June 2nd.

XS ROCK: How long has the band been together?
Jason: We have been together about two years.

XS ROCK: What was your main motivation for starting or being in a band?
Jason: We are motivated by love and passion for Music.

XS ROCK: Which do you prefer? Writing new songs and recording or playing for a live audience?
Jason: We enjoy writing new music and recording, but there is nothing like a live show and interacting with the audience.

XS ROCK: Do you have any outrageous tour stories from the road? If so, please fill us in.
Jason: Not at the moment but I’m sure I will in the future.

XS ROCK: What’s the strangest request that you’ve ever received from one of your fans?
Jason: We really haven’t received any strange requests from our fans.

XS ROCK: Were your parents supportive of your aspirations to play in a rock band?
Jason: My parents were a huge inspiration and supportive of me pursuing music.

XS ROCK: What are your favorite tracks to play live?
Jason: Don’t misunderstand me, Follow, Changes, and Calling.

Jason: Led Zeppelin, Shinedown, Candlebox, and the Fray just to name a few. Great song writing and amazing energy live.

XS ROCK: If you could design a dream tour for your band, who would be on the bill?
Jason: Definitely Shinedown and Candlebox.

XS ROCK: What do you consider your greatest accomplishment so far?
Jason: Putting together a heartfelt record and having a very hard-working dedicated band behind me to deliver a great live show to our fans now and in the future.

XS ROCK: If you weren’t performing in a band what kind of career do you think you would have?
Jason: Not quite sure because music is a huge part of my life.

XS ROCK: What type of equipment do you use for live shows?
Jason: As far as Amps go Marshall JCM 2000, 4 x 12 anniversary Marshall hand wired cab. Shure in ears, Sennheiser wireless and microphone. Gibson Les Paul, fender Stratocaster, and Epiphone Les Paul.

XS ROCK: What do you think of the current music scene?
Jason: I truly believe that there is a lot of talent out there and a wide variety of music.

XS ROCK: For anyone that doesn’t know you, what would they be surprised to know about you?
Jason: I’m a huge family man.

XS ROCK: If someone had never heard you before, how would you describe your sound?
Jason: Our sound is very Melodic with Heartfelt lyrics and Catchy hooks.

XS ROCK: Is there anything that you’d like to promote or say to your fans out there?
Jason: Thank you all so much for your support and we hope to continue to write music that you can enjoy and relate to and we appreciate all the support from everyone that we have.
