Melodic hard rock doesn’t get much better than Crazy Lixx‘s new album Forever Wild.  Melding just the right amount of pop sensibilities with hard rocking beats, the band has not only hit their stride but perhaps made their lasting mark on the hard rock scene with this album.  Take the best of Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, and Skid Row and merge them into a cohesive sound that’s all it’s own and you’ve got an idea of what Crazy Lixx brings to the table.  The opening song “Wicked” along with “Break Out” are great examples of what these melodic rockers have to offer as part of the new breed or new wave of hair metal bands.  Vocalist Danny Rexon has continuously kept Crazy Lixx on the upward swing and “Forever Wild” is another mountain higher than the last. If there’s going to be a second coming of the hair metal genre, you can be sure that Crazy Lixx will be at the front of the pack. This is an absolute must-have album for fans of the 80’s hard rock scene. Forever Wild is the band’s best and most mature work to date. If this was released during the ’80s this album would be chock full of radio hits.  So do yourself a favor and pick up Forever Wild.  It’s a worthy addition to any melodic rock fan’s collection.
